Russian ice hockey is 70 years old!

On the 22nd of December 1946, the first ever USSR ice hockey championship match was played. This date has since been regarded as the birth of the country's ice hockey. Today, Russian ice hockey has turned 70 years old! Dynamo Moscow won the first season back in 1946, while CDKA were second and Spartak third.
The national team, created in 1952, have won the World Championship 27 times and Olympic gold on eight occasions.
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation congratulates all ice hockey fans with this celebration!
