During the master class, the pupils of the Red Machine Junior school and Russia U18 players performed training exercises and held a training game.
Russian Ice Hockey Federation sporting director Daniil Kupriyanov:
– This is a very important event for us. In addition to training, the children had a tour of the Novogorsk training centre and were shown the infrastructure used by the Russian national teams. It's great that both the national team and the Red Machine Junior school are working in accordance with the same system, the Red Machine National Development Program. This forms a great foundation for the future!
Russia U18 head coach Igor Efimov:
- Everyone involved really enjoyed this training session! It was the correct decision by the Federation to stage this event. For their part, players of our team had great fun and passed on plenty of vital advice to the children.
