The Liga Stavok 3x3 Channel One Cup, which is the first international 3-on-3 ice hockey competition, will today take place at the CSKA Arena in Moscow!
Russia, Belarus, China and Kazakhstan are all participating in the tournament. The 3-on-3 format is supported by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and has a realistic chance of being included in the Olympic program for 2030.
All games consist of three seven-minute periods. In the event of a draw, a penalty shootout will immediately take place. If a foul is committed, a penalty shot will be awarded instead of a powerplay. Icings aren't called and hits are prohibited.
