Vladislav Tretiak received the Order of Alexander Nevsky

Vladislav Tretiak, the president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), received a high state award in the Kremlin on Constitution Day.

Citizens of the Russian Federation are awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky for special personal services to the Fatherland in state building, as well as for high personal achievements in various sectors of public benefit.

In response, Tretiak stressed: “Russia is a sporting power. We host many competitions and are continuing to create the conditions for our citizens to participate in sport, defend the honour of the country and be its patriots. I want to assure the President of the Russian Federation that the RIHF will do everything in order to raise new Olympic champions and ice hockey players who will glorify our country.”
