2017 Winter Universiade. Russia - Latvia - 7:1
On the 1st of February, the Russian men's student national team played their second game of the 2017 Winter Universiade against Latvia. Just like the game with South Korea, Ilya Andryukhov was between the pipes.
Having beaten South Korea by a huge score of 14:0, Russia's players were full of confidence coming into this one. Roman Kudinov and Andrei Alexeev promptly gave the team a two goal lead, before a Latvian powerplay reply brought the opponents back into the game.
Nevertheless, Russia weren't to be denied. Nikita Sirotkin (2), Artyom Osipov, Alexander Tarasov and Daniil Ilin scored more goals, sealing a 7:1 victory! The next game will take place on February 3rd against Japan at 13:00 Moscow time.
