Reaction after Russia W played Kazakhstan U18
12.11.2022
Following the concluding match of the President's Sporting Club Cup against the under 18 Kazakh national team (1:7), representatives of the senior Russian women's national team shared their emotions.
Russia W head coach Alexander Zybin:
- I would like to thank our players for their efforts at the competition. We have players born in 2004 and 2005, we took them here to see how they can compete at this level. I think that the final between Russia U16 and Belarus U18 will be very interesting! I think that our girls now know how to play against male teams, but they were lacking energy today given that it was our third game in as many days. It's great that we had this opportunity.
Russia W forward Anna Savonina:
- This was a fantastic experience for us, we really enjoyed playing here! You have to think a lot faster and act quicker at this level. Our penalties? We committed fouls as a result of our huge desire to play successfully at this level.
