Friendly match. Switzerland W - Russia W - 4:0

29.03.2017

The Russian senior women's national team took on Switzerland in the USA for their final warm-up match before the upcoming World Championship, which starts on March 31st.

Unfortunately, not much went Russia's way in this game. The Swiss took a two goal lead midway through the second period, a scoreline which forced Russian head coach Alexei Chistyakov into pulling goalkeeper Mariya Sorokia for Nadezhda Alexandrova.

However, that change didn't make much difference. The Swiss scored another two goals, sealing their 4:0 victory. Russia will now prepare for their first Women's World Championship fixture against Finland.
