18.04.2017

On April 18th, the under 18 Russian national team will complete their World Championship group stage campaign against the Czech Republic.

Russia's players were in action yesterday, thrashing their Belarusian opponents 4:1. They did fall behind in the second period, but the team recovered well to eventually run out comfortable winners.

As a result of that victory, Russia are already certain of a quarter-final berth. Russia U18 have also beaten Sweden at the tournament 3:1, while dropping a close 4:5 defeat to the USA.

The Czech Republic have lost two of their three matches, going down to Sweden 2:3 and America 2:5. Their only triumph came against Belarus 7:4.

Puck drop is scheduled for 20:30 Moscow time. Match-Igra will broadcast live in Russia.
