Sergei Yashin has passed away

Sadly, in the 61st year of his life, legendary Soviet and Dynamo Moscow forward Sergei Yashin has passed away.
With the Soviet national team, Sergei won the World Championship twice (1986, 1989) and Olympic gold (1988). Furthermore, in 1990, he helped Dynamo Moscow win their maiden national title in 36 years.
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation extends its sincere condolences to Sergei's family and friends.
