A meeting of legendary champions

14.03.2022
Memory is the most important property of the mind, and gratitude is one of the strongest feelings which the heart is capable of. That is why we always remember with gratitude our veterans, those who for many years delighted millions of fans with their wonderful skills and glorious victories.

And, of course, we are happy to see our legendary veterans in good health and spirits, such as in this wonderful photograph taken the other day at the home of Valentina Yashina. The widow of Lev Yashin, the legendary Dynamo Moscow and USSR football national team goalkeeper, welcomed these following veterans to her home: 1956 Olympic champion and Spartak Moscow player Nikita Simonyan, 1964 Olympic champion Stanislav Petukhov with his wife Elena Bobrova and Lidia Kalinina-Ivanova, who won Olympic gold in artistic gymnastics in Melbourne.
