Channel One Cup. Russia - Canada. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation takes a look at the statistics to emerge from the 2021 Channel One Cup match against Canada (4:3) in Moscow:
- Forward Yegor Korshkov scored the 200th Russian goal against the senior Canadian national team. It has taken our players 61 matches to score 200 markers against these particular opponents;
- Since 1992, Russia and Canada have competed against each other on seven occasions at the Russian stage of the Euro Hockey Tour, with our team earning six victories, one draw and a positive goal difference of +18 (29-11);
- Fellow forward Sergei Plotnikov has earned 45 (20+25) points in 100 appearances for the senior Russian national team. He became the 29th Russian player to participate in a minimum of 100 games for Russia at senior international level;
- In his 25th match for the senior Russian national team, defenseman Alexander Elesin scored his fourth goal;
- Nikita Nesterov became the 13th Russian defenseman to score a minimum of 10 goals for the senior national team;
- Forward Sergei Tolchinsky has registered six (3+3) points in 10 games for Russia;

- Goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov earned his first victory for the senior Russian national team in his third game.
