Euro Hockey Tour. Sweden - Russia. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation takes a look at the statistics to emerge from the 2021/2022 Euro Hockey Tour meeting between Sweden and Russia in Helsinki, Finland:

- Defensemen Vladimir Grudinin, Arseniy Koromyslov, Yegor Savikov and Nikita Smirnov, as well as forward Vasily Ponomaryov, all made their debuts for the senior Russian national team. 500 different players have now played for Russia in the Euro Hockey Tour;

- At the age of 16 years, 11 months and four days, forward Matvei Michkov became the youngest player to score for the senior Russian national team. The previous record had been held by Alexander Ovechkin (17 years, 11 months, 21 days);

- Grudinin (17 years, 11 months, 4 days) became the first defenseman under the age of 18 to represent Russia at senior international level;

- Forward Artyom Galimov scored his maiden goal for the senior national team during his fifth appearance. At the same time, Koromyslov and Sergei Telegin tallied their first assists.
