Reaction after the third friendly match against Czech Republic U18

10.10.2021
Following the third victory against the Czech Republic away from home, under 18 Russian national team head coach Vladimir Filatov and forward Kirill Dolzhenkov shared their opinions:

Russia U18 head coach Vladimir Filatov:

- It took a long time for them to change the broken glass today, a break which helped the Czechs to gather their thoughts and subsequently apply pressure on us. Nevertheless, even though we did concede, we largely managed to keep them at bay and saw the game out to emerge victorious. During these games, we have seen a lot of players who will be candidate for upcoming tournaments. Alexander Dil was only used as a forward instead of a defenseman? This was a useful experience for him. At the moment, he is not one of the seven best defensemen of our team, but he will be given a chance if he continues working just as hard.

Russia U18 forward Kirill Dolzhenkov:

- I was involved in the glass breaking for the first time in my career. It wasn't very pleasant, I had a number of cuts, but the doctors managed to quickly stop the bleeding. I took off my equipment on the bench and shook off the glass, as to not take it into the dressing room. I immediately took a shower and was subsequently able to continue playing after the long break eventually ended. We're really happy to win all three games here, it means a lot. Now, I want to continue playing well with my club.
