1.6 million ticket applications for the 2022 World Championship

The organisers of the 2022 IIHF World Championship (May 13-29, Helsinki and Tampere, Finland) have reported on the results of the ticket lottery.

The lottery was held to sell tickets for the matches of Group B (Belarus, Great Britain, Latvia, Norway, USA, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden), which will be held at the Tampere Deck Arena.

The ticket lottery was held for the first time in the history of the World Championship, with the collection of applications having ended on September 26. The organisers received over 1.6 million applications.

On September 29, the organising committee of the tournament will notify the lottery winners,who will be able to redeem tickets on their applications from September 30 to October 15. From October 16 to October 20, the right to purchase unredeemed tickets will pass to the rest of the lottery participants. From the 21st to the 25th of October, all participants in the lottery will be presented with this right. If tickets remain available by October 27, they will subsequently go on sale. Individual tickets for matches will go on sale in February 2022.

The Russian national team will play in in Group A in Helsinki against Germany, Denmark, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan, Slovakia and Switzerland. You can purchase tickets for Russia's games on the following link.
