2021 Women's World Championship. Russia - Switzerland - 2:3 OT

In the quarter-finals of the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship, the senior Russian national team came up short against Switzerland, going down 2:3 in a dramatic battle.

Elizaveta Rodnova and Ilona Markova initially gave our players an early two-goal lead in the first period. However, they couldn't cling on to that advantage, conceding twice in the third period before letting in the only goal of the ensuing overtime frame to bow out of the competition.

Russia will now compete in the classification matches for fifth place.
