2021 Sochi Hockey Open. Russian Olympic team - Avtomobilist - 2:1 OT

In the concluding match of the 2021 Sochi Hockey Open, the Russian Olympic national team edged past Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, earning a 2:1 victory in overtime.

Semyon Kizimov had equalised for Avtomobilist in the second stanza after Fyodor Svechkov had previously given Russia the advantage. Nevertheless, our players weren't to be denied, as Vladimir Grudinin went on to score the winner deep into the extra frame.

Solid goaltender Dmitry Nikolaev stopped 33 of the 34 Avtomobilist shots he faced.

This result meant that Traktor Chelyabinsk won the competition.
