The under 18 Russian national team will compete against Switzerland today in the second match of the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
Yesterday, Russia managed to defeat Finland 5:2 in the opening game of the tournament, with Ilya Kvochko, Matvei Michkov (2), Mikhail Gulyaev and Gleb Trikozov all scoring and in-form goaltender Sergei Ivanov stopping 35 of the 37 shots he faced. Meanwhile, the Swiss didn't manage to make such a great start to the competition, conceding an 0:3 loss to the Czech Republic.
