Vladimir Menshov has passed away

Famous actor and film director Vladimir Menshov has sadly passed away in the 82nd year of his life as a consequence of complications after falling ill with COVID-19.

Vladimir notably won an Oscar in 1981, as his "Moscow Doesn't Trust Tears" film was named the Best Film in a Foreign Language. He also starred as an actor in the "Legend 17" ice hockey film.

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation extends its deepest condolences to Vladimir's family and friends.
