Calgary will host the 2021 Women's World Championship

The 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship will take place in Calgary, Canada, between the 20th and 31st of August.
Originally, the competition was supposed to be held in Halifax and Truro in May, but the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) subsequently postponed it as a consequence of a decision made by the local Canadian authorities.
To maintain the safety of all participants and the greater community at large, all health and safety protocols and measures will be adhered to leading up to and for the duration of the tournament.
Teams are expected to arrive in Calgary on August 10 and will immediately enter quarantine before resuming training sessions and possible friendly games before the puck drops on August 20. A full tournament schedule will be announced at a later date.
