2021 World Championship. Russia - Belarus. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation analyses the statistics to emerge from the senior national team's 6:0 victory against Belarus at the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia:
- This was the third consecutive World Championship match when Russia didn't concede a single goal against Belarus (194 minutes and 11 seconds);
- Nikita Nesterov (2+1) became the first Russian defenseman to score a goal at the 2021 World Championship. In the process, he became the 10th Russian player to tally three points in one World Championship game;
- Forward Emil Galimov scored his maiden goal of the tournament. Nine World Championship debutants for Russia have now scored at this year's competition;
- Defenseman Ivan Provorov has picked up six (1+5) points in 20 matches for the senior Russian national team;
- Forward Vladislav Kamenev has scored three goals and dished out three assists in 15 games for the senior national team;
- Fellow forward Alexander Barabanov (4+4) became the fifth Russian player to register at least one point in all World Championship group phase matches, following in the footsteps of Evgeny Malkin (2012), Artemiy Panarin (2015), Nikita Gusev (2019) and Nikita Kucherov (2019).
