2021 World Championship. Switzerland - Russia

The senior Russian national team will compete against Switzerland in the fifth match of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia.

So far, Russia have claimed three wins at the competition by defeating the Czech Republic (4:3), Great Britain (7:1) and Denmark (3:0), conceding the one loss to Slovakia (1:3). For their part, the Swiss have beaten the Czechs (5:2), the Danes (0:1) and the Slovaks (8:1), while coming up short against Sweden (0:7).

Yesterday, our players trained in these following lines:

Group 1

Goalkeepers: Samonov, Bocharov.
Whites: Nesterov, Zadorov - Slepyshev, Voronkov, Shalunov.
Blues: Gavrikov, Provorov - Tolchinsky, Karnaukhov, Barabanov.
Reds: Ozhiganov, Rafikov - Galimov, Morozov, Burdasov.
Blacks: Dronov - Shvets-Rogovoi, Kamenev, Timkin.

Group 2

Goalkeepers: Bocharov, Fedotov.
Defenseman: Zub.
Forwards: Kuzmenko, Grigorenko, Tarasenko.

Forward Konstantin Okulov trained in accordance with an individual training program.

Puck-drop is scheduled for 16:15 Moscow time. Channel One will provide a live television broadcast in Russia.
