Reaction after playing Denmark at the 2021 World Championship

26.05.2021
Following the 3:0 victory against Denmark in the fourth match of the 2021 IIHF World Championship, senior national team head coach Valeri Bragin, defenseman Nikita Nesterov and forward Ivan Morozov all spoke with the media.

Head coach Valeri Bragin:

- Nikita Nesterov is going through the adaptation process at the moment, hopefully he will play a lot better in future games. Maybe Maxim Shalunov is worried about the fact that he can't get any points at the tournament yet, but we are keeping an eye on him and will work on his physical condition. Yes, it took a long time for us to break the deadlock today, but there aren't any weak opponents at this competition. Vladimir Tarasenko has arrived here already, we had a conversation and I could see just how motivated he is to play for our team. We will rest tomorrow, before resuming our training sessions on Friday.

Forward Ivan Morozov:

- My first goal? I simply managed to shoot the loose puck into the net, I am enjoying playing in one line with Dmitry Voronkov since we were put together during the match against Slovakia. I am satisfied that I'm managing to play well at the tournament so far, I will try to continue in the same vein!

Defenseman Nikita Nesterov:

- Our plan for the two days without matches is to get enough rest in and recover. Switzerland have a strong team, but the coaches will tell us how to compete against them. I think that it will be an interesting game.
