26.05.2021
In the fourth group-stage match of the 2021 IIHF World Championship, the senior Russian national team managed to beat Denmark, earning a 3:0 victory against the opponents.

For a long time, the Danes managed to keep our players at bay with excellent defensive play, but Ivan Morozov eventually broke the deadlock in the concluding minute of the second period as he cleared up the loose change on the slot on the powerplay.

Alexander Barabanov doubled the advantage with an unstoppable wrister under the goalkeeper's left arm midway through the third frame, before Dmitry Voronkov practically ended the game as a contest in the 57th minute as he sent a laser high into the right corner directly after a faceoff draw.

Solid goalkeeper Alexander Samonov stopped all 18 shots he faced to pick up his maiden shutout of the tournament.
