Euro Hockey Tour. Russia - Finland - 1:4

13.05.2021
In the second match of the fourth stage of the 2020/2021 Euro Hockey Tour, the senior Russian national team came up short against Finland, conceding a 1:4 defeat in Prague, the Czech Republic.

After falling behind in the fifth minute, our players did eventually get back on level terms in the early stages of the third period, as Maxim Shalunov beat the opposing goalkeeper when completely clean through.

However, midway through the stanza, the Finns scored two markers within 32 seconds as Jere Karjalainen and Teemu Turunen got the better of Ivan Bocharov when one-on-one.

In the closing minute, our team did pull Bocharov for the extra skater, but that only resulted in Karjalainen hitting the empty net.

Russia will now prepare to face their Czech hosts on Saturday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 16:00 Moscow time.
