Euro Hockey Challenge. Russian Olympic team - Belarus

On April 24, in the second of two 2020/2021 Euro Hockey Challenge matches between the two nations, the Russian Olympic national team will host Belarus at the VTB Arena in Moscow.

Yesterday, the senior national team defeated the Belarusians by a score of 6:3, with Vladislav Kamenev, Yegor Korshkov (2), Ilya Safonov, Andrei Kuzmenko and Anton Burdasov all scoring excellent goals during a second-period blitz. Goalkeeper Alexander Samonov stopped 10 of the 13 shots which he faced.

"We are looking at all of our candidates," stated senior national team head coach Valeri Bragin following Friday's duel. "We have one more match here, before we play in Switzerland and then the Czech Republic. All of the guys understand that every game is important. The strongest players will travel to the World Championship."

Puck-drop at the VTB Arena in Moscow is scheduled for 14:00 local time. Match-Igra will provide a live television broadcast in Russia, whereas you can follow text updates in English on our official Twitter account.
