Kazakhstan Hockey Open. Kazakhstan - Russian Olympic team - 2:1

In the second match of the 2021 Kazakhstan Hockey Open, the Russian Olympic national team conceded a defeat to the competition hosts, going down 1:2.

After falling behind in the first period, Russia did equalise in the second stanza as Ilya Morozov converted a rebound opportunity, but the Kazakhs scored the winning goal on the powerplay during the third.

Goalkeeper Maxim Tretyak stoppd 28 of the 30 shots he faced.

Russia will now prepare to face Kazakhstan-2 tomorrow at 14:00 Moscow time in a friendly match.
