2021 World Junior Championship. Czech Republic U20 - Russia U20

In the early hours of December 28, the under 20 Russian national team will face the Czech Republic in Edmonton, Canada in the second match of the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship.
In the first game of the competition, Russia earned a tense 5:3 triumph over the USA, with Vasily Ponomaryov - twice -, Zakhar Bardakov, Ilya Safonov and Yegor Chinakhov hitting the jackpot. Goalkeeper Yaroslav Askarov saved 23 of the 26 American shots he faced.
However, the Czechs struggled in their maiden match of the tournament, falling 1:7 to Sweden. Their only marker was tallied by forward Jan Mysak in the first period of play.
The match will begin at 05:30 Moscow time on Monday. Channel One will provide a live television broadcast in Russia.
