2020 Channel One Cup. Russia - Finland. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation takes a look at the statistics to emerge from the senior national team's 5:1 victory against the Finns at the Legends Park in the concluding match of the 2020 Channel One Cup:

- The first goal, scored by Vadim Shipachyov, marked Russia's 2500th marker in 769 matches. 896 of them have been tallied in 227 World Championship games, while 845 markers have been tallied in the Euro Hockey Tour. Russia have scored 402 goals against both the Czech Republic and Sweden and 372 against Finland;

- This marked the 70th victory against Finland in 144 matches. Seven games ended in a draw, while the Finns have celebrated 67 wins;

- Defenseman Viktor Antipin made his 30th appearance in the Euro Hockey Tour. So far, he possesses eight (3+5) points;

- Defenseman Rushan Rafikov (4+2) and forward Maxim Mamin (5+4) have now competed in 20 matches for the senior Russian national team;

- Forwards Dmitry Voronkov and Pavel Karnaukhov both scored their maiden goals for at senior international level;

- In his fourth game for the senior Russian national team, defenseman Danila Galenyuk dished out his first assist, while forward Sergei Tolchinsky also made his first assist in his second match;

- Boasting 106 (31+75) points in 130 games, forward Vadim Shipachyov is in fourth position of the ranking concerning the amount of points earned for Russia. Only Maxim Sushinsky (113), Sergei Mozyakin (130) and Ilya Kovalchuk (150) have more points for the senior national team than Vadim;

- Fellow forward Andrei Kuzmenko managed to score in all three matches of the Channel One Cup, repeating Danis Zaripov's record which was achieved in 2008. This was also the first time when Andrei hit the jackpot in six games against Finland.
