Euro Hockey Tour. Czech Republic - Russia

The senior Russian national team will face the Czech Republic in Helsinki, Finland in the concluding match of the Karjala Cup, the opening stage of the 2020/2021 Euro Hockey Tour.
So far, Russia are enjoying a hugely successful competition at the Hartwall Arena, having defeated the Finns 6:2 and Sweden 2:1 in a penalty shootout.
In the opening game, Rodion Amirov, Marat Khusnutdinov, Ilya Safonov, Daniil Chayka, Yegor Chinakhov and Yegor Afanasyev all hit the target, before Amirov equalised in the next match against the Swedes in the 59th minute of play. Vasily Podkolzin then subsequently grabbed the winning marker in the ensuing penalty shootout.
Goalkeeper Yaroslav Askarov has been impressive between the pipes to date.
To their credit, the Czechs are also catching the eye in Finland, beating Sweden 3:1 and Finland 2:0 to occupy first position of the standings.
Puck drop is scheduled for 14:30 Moscow time on Sunday 8 November. Match TV will provide a live television broadcast in Russia.
