Vyacheslav Bykov is 60!

Famous ice hockey player and coach Vyacheslav Bykov, who won the Olympic Games twice with the national team, has turned 60 years of age on July 24.

As a player, Vyacheslav became an Olympic champion in 1988 and 1992, while also claiming a gold medal at the World Championship on five occasions. When turning his hand to coaching, he won the 2008 and 2009 World Championship as head coach of the senior Russian national team, before subsequently hoisting the KHL Gagarin Cup aloft in 2011 and 2015 as boss of Salavat Yulaev Ufa and SKA Saint Petersburg respectively.

He has been a member of the IIHF Hall of Fame since 2014.

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation wishes Vyacheslav health, happiness and more success! Happy birthday!
