In Sweden, the Russian national team conceded their third defeat at the Swedish Hockey Games, losing out 3:4 in a penalty shootout to the Czech Republic.
Artur Kayumov, Andrei Svetlakov and Pavel Poryadin all scored for Russia but, with the Czechs equalising in the final second of play, the game was taken to the ensuing penalty shootout where the opponents earned the victory.
