In the Czech Republic, the under 18 Russian national team made the perfect start to the Five Nations competition, defeating Sweden 3:1.

Dmitry Zlodeev, Marat Khusnutdinov and Shakir Mukhamadullin all scored for Russia, while goakeeper Yaroslav Askarov - a silver medalist of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship - 20 of the 21 shots he faced.

Russia will now prepare to face Finland at 17:00 Moscow time tomorrow.
