Anastasia Petina: "We will give the Finns a good fight"

28.12.2019
Ahead of the concluding match of the 2020 IIHF World W18 Championship group stage against Finland, under 18 women's national team defender Anastasia Petina spoke about the team's preparation.
Defender Anastasia Petin:
- It was our rest day. After sleeping well, we went for a walk about Bratislava, before analysing how Finland play later in the evening. We're ready to take on the Finns, they're a strong opponent and we have the same mindset for every match. However, we have analysed them well, so I don't think that they can surprise us at all. This is my first World Championship, and the level is different in comparison to club ice hockey, we're representing our country here. All teams play at a high level.
Russia began the competition wih two narrow defeats to Canada (2:3 OT) and the USA (0:1). Puck drop against Finland is scheduled for 18:30 Moscow time on Sunday.
