Sergei Golubovich: "It was a great experience against teams older than us"

16.12.2019
Head coach of the under 18 Russian national team, Sergei Golubovich, shared his feelings after defeating Canada East in the final of the World Hockey Challenge:
- I have amazing emotions! However, at the same time, it's important to keep our main goals in mind. We're not going to stop here. The players become tired physically, but it's tough for us coaches psychologically. This team has character. Yes, things won't always go our way, but we have great character within the group. It was a useful experience to play against older teams ahead of the 2020 World Championship. Maybe the opponents weren't that strong tactically, but physically they are well built. Nevertheless, we stuck to the game plan, and our system gave us the victory.
