In memory of Leonid Volkov

Leonid Volkov, a winner of the 1964 Olympic Games with the USSR national team and the 1964 and 1965 World Championship, would have turned 86 years of age today on 9 December 2020.
During his career as a professional ice hockey player, Leonid competed as a forward, also winning the USSR championship in 1959, 1960 and 1961, the USSR Cup in 1961 and the USSR Master of Sport honour. Overall, he made 14 appearances across the Olympics and World Championship, scoring 10 goals.
Leonid sadly passed away on 17 May 1995.
