The senior Russian national team conceded a 0:3 defeat to the Czech Republic in the concluding match of the 2019 Karjala Cup in Helsinki, Finland.
This competition marked the start of the 2019/2020 Euro Hockey Tour.
In the first period, Jan Kovar opened the scoring for the Czechs, before they then registered two more goals in the third frame to win the game - and the tournament - 3:0.
