June 25 marks the 97th anniversary of Alexander Komarov's birthday.

As an ice hockey player, Alexander played in the position of a forward, winning the 1954 World Championship with the Soviet national team.

Alexander passed away on November 22, 2013 in Samara. His legacy lives on.
