The IIHF has confirmed Saint Petersburg as the host city of the 2023 World Championship

On May 24, during the IIHF Congress in Slovakia, it was confirmed that Saint Petersburg will be the host city of the 2023 IIHF World Championship.
President of the IIHF, Rene Fasel, revealed the news at the second day of the IIHF Congress. The decision was unanimously approved by the Congress.
Yesterday, Russian Ice Hockey Federation president Vladislav Tretiak presented the Saint Petersburg bid to host the 2023 IIHF World Championship with information about the city and the construction of a new stadium which will be completed in 2023.
