2019 World Championship. Switzerland - Russia

In the sixth match of the 2019 IIHF World Championship group stage, the senior Russian national team will take on Switzerland in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Yesterday, Russia were made to work hard for a 3:1 triumph over Latvia, as second period goals from Dmitry Orlov, Nikita Gusev and Nikita Kucherov sealed the deal after Oskars Cibulskis had initially given the opponents the lead in the 10th minute. Goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 26 of 27 Latvian shots.
Besides that win, the Russians have beaten Norway (5:2), Austria (5:0), the Czech Republic (3:0) and Italy (10:0) at the competition.
On Saturday, Switzerland conceded their maiden defeat of the tournament, falling 3:4 to reigning champions Sweden. Previously, the Swiss had defeated Italy (9:0), Latvia (3:1), Austria (4:0) and Norway (4:1).
Puck drop is scheduled for 21.15 Moscow time. Channel One will broadcast live in Russia.
