Ilya Vorobyov: "We know that the opponents have a serious mentality"
17.05.2019
Head coach of the senior Russian national team, Ilya Vorobyov, shared his expectations for the upcoming 2019 IIHF World Championship match against Latvia:
- Have there been changes to the fourth line with Ilya Kovalchuk, Sergei Andronov and Sergei Plotnikov? Tomorrow, we will choose a physically stronger forward for that line, but all of our 14 forwards have the chance to be in the line-up. Artyom Zub is skating because we have eight defensemen in the team. However, we aren't hurrying to register him for tournament action yet, anything can happen. Andrei Vasilevskiy will be the starting goalkeper against Latvia. We know that the Latvians will have a serious mentality for this match because it's their last chance to qualify for the knockout stage.
