Vladislav Tretyak: New Olympic jersey embodies great heritage of our hockey

Dear friends!

First for this season post in my blog is dedicated to the main tournament of the past four years. It is less than 6 months left before Olympic Games in Sochi. For all hockey players it is culmination point in sports career.

This saturday I returned from Sochi where Pre-Olympic training camp took place. I met with candidates to the National Olympic team. Many of them will have honour to represent our country in this tournament. They literally came to Sochi from different parts of the world and I want to thank them for that. 

All the events within the framework of the Pre-Olympic training camp were aimed at reaching the most important goal - at creating attitude that corresponds to the level of the assigned task. I am convinced that in sport especially in hockey team spirit and feeling personal responsibility for your own actions is the most important component of success.

This monday took place one more important event connected with Olympic games - presentation of new jersey in which our hockey players will participate in Olympic games. It embodies great heritage of our hockey. Nike company was actively interacting with Federation while developing jersey design. I sincerely hope that new jersey will take decent place in history of Russian hockey and will become depiction of sports spirit and pride for Russian team.

Now, at start of new season I wish success to our team. Success depends on your work and actions. Everything is in our power.
