Russia U18 have trained in Krylatskiy
30.03.2019
The under 18 Russian national team held a training session in Krylatskiy as a part of the preparations for the 2019 IIHF World U18 Championship which will be held in Sweden in April.
Russia U18 head coach Vladimir Filatov:
- These training sessions are useful both from a training point of view and for team-building. The guys treated it seriously and they enjoyed themselves. We're satisfied. We wanted to train with plenty of skating involved, and physically, this is important. It's a key basic principle of training.
Russia U18 defenseman Nikita Burenov:
- First of all, we received positive emotions from this training session! The size of the ice here surprised me. The task was to skate well. Did the coaches cope with the amount of skating involved? They had different objectives! I am looking forward to feeling the atmosphere of a World Championship, there is serious competition within our team for places in the squad.
