Interviews after beating Switzerland at the 2019 Winter Universiade

01.03.2019
Alexei Chistyakov, Nina Pirogova and Anna Shokhina all spoke to the media after defeating Switzerland 10:0 at the 2019 Winter Universiade.

Russian women's student national team head coach Alexei Chistyakov:

- The girls were confident for this match and we achieved the required result. However, despite the large scoreline, there are a lot of elements which require improvement as we move forward. Every game is different and we will start from a clean slate in the next match.

Russian women's student national team defender Nina Pirogova:

- It's great to see our fans at the stadium. Switzerland aren't easy opponents, we simply managed to use our goalscoring opportunities when they came our way. My hat trick? Thanks to my teammates for making that happen. Inside the group, we have a positive, warm atmosphere, and we're looking forward to play China in the next match. We have travelled here to win.

Russian women's student national team forward Anna Shokhina:

- We all feel great after winning by such a big score. Thank you to the fans for their support, it was fantastic. Can we compare the atmosphere at the Winter Universiade to the one we see at the World Championship? Of course, the matches all mean the same. We like everything here.
