In the first match of the 2019 Winter Universiade, the student men's Russian national team defeated Slovakia 2:1 in overtime.
After the Slovakians scored the opening goal, Russia responded with Igor Rudenkov equalising in the third period, before Egor Morozov won the match in the extra frame.
