Head coach Vladislav Khromykh:

- The previous Universiade was successful for us, but it's always more difficult to defend your title of champions. We will do everything we can to win the gold medal. We haven't had a lot of time to prepare, but we'll train again tomorrow and the guys are getting used to play with one another. Tomorrow, we will decide on the team captain. Our main opponent? There aren't any weak teams at the Universiade, but I think Kazakhstan, Canada and the USA are the key opponents for us. All of the guys are feeling positive for the competition and we want to win.

Forward Bogdan Yakimov:

- The ice is good at the stadium, the facilities are excellent and we're ready to fight. I think that we've had enough time to get used to playing with each other. There's a positive atmosphere within the group and our task is to win. Our main opponent? Any team is capable of springing a surprise. We will give our all on the ice.

Goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov:

- The ice is excellent at this new stadium. We'll analyse how Slovakia play tomorrow. In order to win gold, we have to emerge victorious in all matches, so we need to take our opponents seriously. Every player in our team is talented and we will fight for our country.
