Mikhail Chekanov: Team’s interaction was lost

Russian Women’s National Team Head Coach Mikhail Chekanov on game with Finns:

- After the first missed goal, uncertainty, penalties, psychological breakdown appeared. Team Finland grabbed initiative, we missed the second goal. In the course of the first period we a lot of moments, but it didn’t work out. We tried to change something and started playing in three lines, using new combinations. The fact that we didn’t score – it’s, first of all, Finn players’ merit.

It’s too early to say whether we’ve made step forward or not. We rebuilt the Team. We have reserve for the future because the most of players are middle and young aged. We pulled up to the level of European teams, - added Team’s tutor.
