On January 25, the 2019 NMHL Generation Cup took place in Novomoskovsk, with the NMHL defeating a Student Hockey League team 4:2.
Ice hockey legends Boris Mikhaylov, Vladimir Yurzinov and Igor Tuzik participated in the event.
Due to there only being one conference in the 2018/2019 NMHL season, the decision was taken to play the All-Star Game against a team from the Student Hockey League in Russia.
