The 60th anniversary of the creation of HC Yuzhniy Ural

On January 22, an event took place in Orsk dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the creation of HC Yuzhniy Ural.
Olympic champions Boris Mayorov, Boris Mikhaylov and Vladimir Myshkin travelled to Orsk for the event alongside Russian national team consultant Igor Tuzik and Russian champion Alexander Guskov.
The veterans gave a religious icon to a church in Orsk and were given a tour around the Kraevedcheskiy Museum.
After looking around the city, they took to the ice, where they held an ice hockey master-class for over 250 children.
The main event was the 2018/2019 VHL regular season match between Yuzhniy Ural and Chelmet, a game which the hosts won 6:0. More than 5000 fans were in attendance.
