The under 20 Russian national team defeated Switzerland 5:2 in Canada to claim bronze at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Switzerland put up a good fight, but Russia eventually proved too strong, claiming a tough 5:2 victory in an entertaining battle.

Kirill Slepets and Nikita Shashkov, who scored the second shorthanded, opened up a 2:0 lead in the opening period.
