2019 World Junior Championship. Russia - USA

In the semi-finals of the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship, the under 20 Russian national team will take on the USA in Canada.

On Thursday, our players trained in these following lines:

Goalkeepers: Kochetkov, Miftakhov, Tarasov.
Whites: Samorukov, Romanov - Denisenko, Kravtsov, Kostin.
Blues: Alexeev, Olshanskiy - Kovalenko, Shen, Starkov.
Reds: Il. Morozov, Zhuravlyov - Muranov, Galimov, Slepets.
Greens: Rubinchik - Shashkov, Iv. Morozov, Podkolzin, Marchenko.

In the group stages, the USA finished in second place of Group B, losing to Sweden 4:5 in overtime while beating Slovakia 2:1, Kazakhstan 8:2 and Finland 4:1. The Americans defeated the Czech Republic 3:1 in the quarter-final phase.

So far, Russia are undefeated at the competition, seeing off Denmark 4:0, the Czech Republic 2:1, Switzerland 7:4 and Canada 2:1. Our team saw off the challenge of Slovakia 8:3 in the quarter-finals.

Finland and Switzerland meet in the second semi-final.
